Experts Resolve Algeria Dinosaur Debate
The article discusses a widespread debate in Algeria regarding the discovery of dinosaur bones in the "Boura Hattar" area of Tébessa Province. Experts in paleontology have confirmed that the bones belong to extinct mammals that lived hundreds of thousands of years ago, rather than dinosaurs as previously circulated. Researchers explained that the site contains fossils dating back to the Pleistocene era and that the region was once home to ancient communities with a humid climate. The bones are identified as belonging to large mammals such as ancient elephants and rhinoceroses, not dinosaurs. This scientific correction clarifies the matter and concludes the debate surrounding the discovery, while also highlighting Algeria's richness in historical and archaeological treasures.
