Man U defender criticizes management after Atlético loss

The article focused on criticism from Manchester United defender Lisandro Martínez towards the club's management for her lack of investment in the team’s squad to boost its competitive capabilities. After a 2-0 defeat to Atlético Madrid in the Champions League, Martínez called for greater ambition in the club’s signing activities, pointing out that the summer transfer window, which saw expenses of around 155 million pounds, did not ensure the necessary balance and depth required to compete at the European level. He emphasized that poor performance and continued negative results, along with the need to improve the players' level, reflect weaknesses in the administrative strategy. He also stated that changes to the coaching staff alone are insufficient to solve the problems, calling for increased support and other measures to develop the team. This comes amidst heavy pressure on coach Michael Carrick, who highlighted missed opportunities and a red card for Yuro, with an emphasis on the need for unity before an important match against Leeds.
