Suspect with explosives targeted Polish PM
Homegrown explosives were found in the residence of a 66-year-old Polish man suspected of plotting to assassinate former Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defense Minister Włodzimierz Kaczynski. Investigations indicate that the confiscated materials include approximately 12 items, such as bomb-like devices resembling hand grenades and noise-light bombs containing metal balls, which are believed to have been prepared for detonation. The suspect, who has not admitted to the charges, was seeking to recruit armed individuals to assist in carrying out his plans. A Polish court is now considering his detention, with the possibility of a sentence of up to 15 years if convicted. These developments come amid heightened security alert in Poland following a series of recent attacks.
