UN pushes for Libyan political unity

The article discusses the efforts of the United Nations and American diplomacy in achieving political and military unification in Libya. This is being pursued through the resumption of dialogue among Libyan parties, especially within the frameworks of political agreements and the ongoing efforts to unify security and military institutions. The current picture of the Libyan crisis highlights how attempts at rapprochement and consensus are still hindered by political disagreements, despite progress such as the signing of the "4+4" agreement and the hosting of military meetings, like the Sirt meeting, which is considered an important step toward building trust. The issue also faces obstacles due to the High Council of State's rejection of the agreement's outcomes, as it continues to demand negotiations and amendments to the electoral conditions. It is expected that the UN Special Envoy will present her vision for a solution during her briefing to the Security Council.
