Lebanese President: Deal limits war spread

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun emphasized that Lebanon chose to negotiate with Israel rather than resort to war, in order to curb the expansion of Israeli attacks and save what remains of the country, even though the agreement is not perfect. He explained that war does not lead to a conclusive outcome, and that negotiations have yielded results despite not achieving the desired goal. He also praised the role of the United States in the Lebanese file. Aoun highlighted the importance of investing in people and utilizing natural resources, reaffirming that the economic situation has been negatively impacted by the war and global energy markets. He stressed that efforts towards reform continue despite the challenges posed by corruption and administrative imbalance.
