Russia to sell $320B fuels to EU
Russia announced that it has sold European countries fuel resources valued at $320.7 billion since the beginning of 2022, despite the Western sanctions imposed on it due to its invasion of Ukraine. These sales come at a time when the Kremlin has rejected proposals for a long-term ceasefire in Ukraine, preferring only a one-day truce to hold the Ukrainian presidential elections, without a comprehensive ceasefire. Russian officials also indicated that Russia is prepared to issue a directive not to target Ukraine during the election day, amid escalating military and political tensions in the region.
