Young woman's final message about Harvard before her death
A tragic story of a young Pakistani woman, Leba Iজ্জ, age 22, whose life ended after discovering she was a victim of an elaborate scammer who forged her acceptance papers to Harvard University aimed at exploiting her dream of studying in America. Her family sold everything they had to raise $25,000 for an alleged approval, but when it was revealed that the papers were fake, Leba was deeply saddened and suffered a severe psychological shock. She decided not to inform her family, fearing for her father, who works as a milk seller, and sent a message to her uncle saying: "Don’t tell my father." She then hanged herself beside a public road. Authorities detained the suspect, who was impersonating a Supreme Court employee or a government official, after the incident sparked widespread debate in Pakistan about fraud crimes and suicide.
