U.S. President Donald Trump appointed Katie Zakaría, the communications advisor at the "Truth Social" platform, as the White House spokesperson following Caroline Leavitt's resignation in August. This move comes ahead of the midterm elections scheduled for next month, aiming to strengthen communication with the public and showcase Trump's agenda and his party's control of Congress. Zakaría is known for her expertise in media and political communication; she previously worked as a legal advisor and has appeared on conservative channels like Fox News. She also maintains close ties with the Trump administration and the media.
