Lebanese Government vs Hezbollah on Iran Funds
The article discusses reports and confirmations regarding the possibility that Hezbollah, which is supported by Iran, may receive a financial boost of up to $200 million to support Lebanese refugees. Washington denies these claims and describes them as false narratives, noting that the group's funding relies on secret networks and tactics, and depends on non-banking cash operations that are difficult to trace. The article emphasizes that this issue is part of a broader political confrontation between Washington and Iran, with Iran aiming to demonstrate its continued support for Hezbollah despite the sanctions. Lebanon, it states, needs more than $10 billion for reconstruction, and the limited financial aid reportedly received by the group is insufficient to cover the extent of the destruction. Meanwhile, Hezbollah is expected to soon announce a project for shelter and restoration.
