Israel has received its first Tamir surface-to-air missile manufactured in the United States at a new facility in Camden, Arkansas. This is the first of its kind outside of Israel for producing missiles for the Iron Dome system. The factory was established through a partnership between the Israeli company Rafael and the American company Raytheon, with the aim of accelerating delivery processes and enhancing the missile defense capabilities of both countries. In addition to producing Tamir missiles to protect Israeli airspace, the factory will also manufacture an American version called Sky Hunter for the U.S. missile defense system, to meet the needs of the armed forces in both nations. High-ranking officials from Israel and the United States attended the ceremony, including Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Senator Tom Cotton.
