Hamas denied responsibility for the removal of armed individuals from Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza after Israel claimed that Palestinians were used in bomb attacks and targeted. The movement confirmed that these Israeli allegations are part of a misinformation campaign and justification to target civilian facilities, especially since international organizations operate within these hospitals. These statements come amidst widespread destruction of the healthcare sector since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza in October 2023, which has resulted in more than 74,000 deaths and over 175,000 injuries. The situation is worsened by Israel's declining compliance with the ceasefire agreement, coinciding with the upcoming Israeli elections on October 27 and a rise in right-wing political rhetoric.
