De Mina awaiting Beijing test results

Australian Alex de Minaur, ranked ninth in the world, sustained a groin injury during the final of the China Open in Beijing, leading to his withdrawal from the match while trailing 7-6, 1-0 in the second set. The 27-year-old de Minaur is currently undergoing medical tests in Shanghai to determine the nature of his injury, especially since he has previously suffered from injuries that affected his season, including withdrawals from Wimbledon and the Paris Olympics. Despite the loss, de Minaur expressed satisfaction with his performance in the tournament final and his overall effort, with the possibility of competing for one of the qualifying spots for the year-end championships, depending on the results of the tests.
