Germany pledges new military and energy support to Ukraine

Germany announced the allocation of a military aid package to Ukraine worth approximately one billion euros ($1.13 billion). The package includes enhancing air defense capabilities and producing missile interceptors for drones, as well as supplying Ukraine with long-range weapons, satellite technology, and combat drones. Germany will also dedicate around 350 million euros ($394 million) to repair Ukraine's energy infrastructure ahead of winter. This step is part of Germany's support for Ukraine in facing current challenges, and it marks Chancellor Merz's second visit to Kyiv since taking office.
