Israel arrests 15 Palestinians including journalists

Israeli occupation forces are detaining 15 Palestinians today, Sunday, from various areas in the West Bank, including two journalists. They are also imposing a comprehensive closure on the crossings of the West Bank and Gaza Strip on October 5 and 7, coinciding with the anniversary of the October 7 events. The arrests include journalists and individuals from several cities. Meanwhile, a Palestinian Taekwondo athlete died while in custody of Israeli soldiers near the Ein Batta checkpoint, after an attempt to revive him following hours of detention. Israeli restrictions on movement and arrests are escalating amid a rise in violence and assaults in the West Bank and Gaza. Since the start of the war on Gaza, more than 74,000 martyrs and over 175,000 injured have been reported, with ongoing targeting of civilians and property, along with displacement attempts and expansion of settlements.
