Al-Ali Launches Major Campaign Against Houthis

The Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman, Rashad Al-Alimi, announced the start of military operations to reclaim Yemen's territory from the Houthis, following the exhaustion of peaceful settlement opportunities and the group's escalation of attacks. He confirmed that the goal is to restore state authority, protect citizens, and avoid targeting civilians or religious sects, with a focus on restoring institutions and services in the areas being liberated. Additionally, efforts will be made to ensure the safe return of internally displaced persons and to reinforce security and stability. He directed the preparation of development and service programs alongside the military operations, which include salary payments and reconstruction efforts, aimed at restoring normal life and supporting national unity.
