US interest rate increase slows after jobs data
The likelihood of a 25% interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve has decreased following weak September employment data, which saw only 29,000 jobs added compared to an expectation of 90,000. This gives the Fed time to review the data ahead of the October meeting. Although the labor market appears stable, inflation remains at 3.4% in August, exceeding the target, keeping the possibility of a rate increase on the table, with markets also pricing in a potential hike again in December.
