South Korea Suggests Talks with North Korea on Demarcation Line

South Korea proposed holding a dialogue with North Korea to resolve disagreements over the military demarcation line after a landmine explosion in the demilitarized zone, which injured three South Korean soldiers in September. The minister explained that differences in the measurements of the lines between the two Koreas and the United Nations Command are the main cause of the incident, warning that similar accidents could occur if the issue is not addressed. The proposal aims to reach an agreement to accurately define the line and prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
