Trump questions duration of Iran conflict

The article discusses the repeated statements made by former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the duration of the war against Iran. He initially claimed at the start of the conflict, which began in February, that it would take 4 to 6 weeks to conclude, primarily to eliminate Iran's nuclear threat. However, over time, Trump backed away from these assertions, clarifying that those estimates were just projections for when the nuclear threat would end, not the total length of the war. He also claimed that the war had already ended in a single night, and that the main goal—eliminating Iran’s nuclear arsenal—had been achieved within the first few weeks, despite experts dismissing these claims. The statements show that Trump was repeatedly predicting a short-term war, but after more than seven months, he continues to retract those claims, attempting to justify them as mere estimates, while sources indicate that the publicly announced timeline was exaggerated.
