Iran resumes Najaf flights with 40 daily
Iraqi authorities have officially resumed flights between Najaf Airport and Iran. Iranian airlines are now permitted to operate 40 flights daily, excluding Mahan Air, following the suspension of flights last week due to US sanctions. This comes after understandings between Iraq and the United States, which agreed to issue a temporary one-month exemption allowing flights carrying pilgrims for religious and medical purposes, despite US accusations that Mahan Air was transporting members of Iran's Revolutionary Guards and weapons.
