Sudan Army Captures Key RSF Base

The Sudanese army has taken control of the city of Al-Mizroub in North Kordofan, the largest stronghold of the Rapid Support Forces, marking a major shift in the fighting within the region. The army confirmed that controlling the city, located 90 kilometers west of Barra, will help cut off the Rapid Support Forces' supply lines and open the way to access western Kordofan. This advancement resulted in casualties and equipment losses for the Rapid Support Forces, amid ongoing military operations and assurances from the army of a return to normal life in the areas they have secured. These developments follow previous successes by the army, which has controlled several areas in North Kordofan since the onset of the conflict in April 2023, leading to the displacement of a large number of residents.
