Marseille extends Algerian player's deal to 2029
Olympique Marseille has announced the renewal of its young Algerian star Yanis Salami's contract until June 2029, in order to prevent him from transferring to major European clubs that had shown interest in signing him. Salami, who is 19 years old, has drawn attention with his performance. He previously played for France's youth and junior national teams before changing his sporting nationality to represent Algeria, following FIFA's approval of his request. Salami is considered one of the emerging talents at the club, and Marseille is looking to capitalize on his talent in the upcoming period.
