Zidane Reflects on Materazzi Headbutt After 20 Years

The retired French football legend and national team coach, Zinedine Zidane, confirmed that he does not feel regret over his famous headbutt on former Italian defender Marco Materazzi in the 2006 World Cup final. However, he denied feeling proud of what he did, considering it a part of his career. He explained that the famous image does not bother him and that he focuses on the positive aspects of his life. He clarified that since that match, Italy and France have taken different paths; France has achieved great successes under Deschamps, while Italy has failed to qualify for the last three World Cups. Zidane stated that Italy has always been one of the top teams, and he has cherished memories of his time playing with Juventus, expressing his respect for the Italian national team despite previous disagreements.
