Egypt Warns of Israeli Moves at Al-Aqsa

Egypt stated that the repeated Israeli incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque aim to change the status quo and impose a new reality within the Haram Al-Sharif. It also condemned the practices of settlers, which are considered a violation of the religious and historical significance of the mosque and which exacerbate tensions in the region. The statement pointed out that these repeated violations threaten the security and stability of the Palestinian territories and the region. The Arab League also denounced the storming of more than 1,300 settlers into the mosque during the days of the "Feast of Christ the King," with religious rituals performed under the protection of occupation forces, in an attempt to impose new facts and divide the mosque.
