Rubbio ejects Iran delegation
The United States has confirmed that Iran's delegation, led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, was forced to leave New York immediately after the conclusion of the United Nations General Assembly meetings, due to stalled negotiations between Washington and Tehran. According to an American official, the administration requested the Iranian delegation to leave the country after exceeding the permitted stay, amid negotiations reaching an impasse. The delegation, which includes Araqchi, departed for Doha in the early hours of Tuesday, in an escalation that reflects a deterioration in trust between the two countries amid efforts that have failed to produce results to end the tensions.
