Syrian Gas Pipeline Explosion Stops 3 Power Plants

An explosion at the gas pipeline station in Tishreen Power Plant in Syria led to the shutdown of three power generation plants, resulting in a temporary reduction in electricity capacity and increased hours of power rationing. The Syrian Electricity Company reported that the fire is still burning, and the incident was caused by a sabotage-related explosion of a sectional valve on the Shola and Deir Ezzor line, which disrupted the flow of gas from Al-Jabassa factory to the power plants. The situation continues to escalate as the fire persists and its impact on the country's energy supplies remains ongoing.
