Iranian woman urges global action before execution
The article discusses, based on an audio message from Mashhad Prison, the case of an Iranian woman named Mahboubieh Shabani, who is 33 years old and sentenced to death for her involvement in the protests that took place in Iran earlier this year. Shabani called on the international community and human rights organizations to intervene and save her life, as well as the lives of others facing execution, especially since Iran ranks second after China in carrying out executions worldwide. The authorities accuse her of being involved in activities against the interests of Israel and the United States during the protests, while human rights organizations state that she was merely transporting the wounded on her motorcycle. Her message is a urgent plea to halt executions used as a means of intimidation and to prevent the recurrence of protests.
