Israel has imposed a comprehensive lockdown on the West Bank for a week, including closure of crossings and tightening restrictions on Palestinian movement, claiming it is in observance of the Jewish Feast of Sukkot. The occupation forces continue to tighten their procedures at checkpoints and gates, disrupting access to holy sites such as Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque. They also restrict the movement of Palestinian workers and worsen healthcare hardships, with the World Health Organization recording 233 attacks on healthcare facilities in 2025. The number of barriers in the West Bank is increasing, surpassing 300 checkpoints, with 925 obstacles that limit freedom of movement, deepening the separation between communities and adding to the daily suffering of the population.
