Global Development Initiative's Progress

The Global Development Initiative, launched five years ago, has achieved tangible positive results, becoming widely accepted internationally and gaining greater support for its development philosophy that prioritizes people. The initiative has mobilized more than $23 billion and implemented over 2,000 cooperative projects in more than 70 countries, benefiting over 40 million people. It has contributed to strengthening international cooperation and developing a multi-sectoral collaboration framework, supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. China will also host a high-level United Nations dialogue on the fifth anniversary of the initiative to share achievements and explore future cooperation opportunities to achieve sustainable development by 2030.
