Hurgit Advances Turkey’s Jet Plans

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) announced the successful first flight of the "Hurjet" jet trainer aircraft after completing ground and field tests. The aircraft conducted an 18-minute flight, and officials confirmed that this is an important step toward delivering the aircraft to the Turkish Air Force before the end of 2027. The production plan includes the delivery of 16 aircraft, with the possibility of increasing this number. Through this project, Turkey aims to enhance its defense capabilities, expand its presence in the military aviation market, and achieve independence in the fighter aircraft industry.
