Official to attend SCO summit and visit Kyrgyzstan and Egypt

Chinese President Xi Jinping left Beijing today, Sunday, to participate in the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Bishkek. He is also undertaking official visits to Kyrgyzstan and Egypt upon the invitations of Kyrgyz President Sadir Japarov and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Accompanying him on the visit are his wife, Peng Liyuan, along with several officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Tashi Chakhar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. The purpose of these visits is to strengthen bilateral cooperation and reinforce regional and international relations.
