Chinese health products complex opens in Egypt

Tongling Jiya Biotechnology Company has launched a health products industrial complex in Sukhna, east of Cairo, covering an area of 160,000 square meters with investments of $67 million. The complex aims to produce 8.1 billion pieces annually of single-use health supplies, with production expected to start within two years, and will provide around 450 direct jobs. The project reflects the strengthening of strategic relations between Egypt and China and is part of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone's efforts to facilitate investments and support manufacturing, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
