Jordan Opens Wadi Rum Cycling Trail

The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority has launched a dedicated bike path in Wadi Rum, approximately 19 kilometers long, as part of the Ram-Rashidiya Road Development Project. The initiative aims to promote eco-tourism and adventure tourism. Around 60 cyclists participated in the event, in collaboration with the Jordanian Cycling Federation and several travel agencies, to encourage cycling as a popular activity in the area and to establish it as a distinguished sports, cultural,, and heritage tourism destination. The project aims to enhance visitors’ experience, improve safety through a separate bike track, support sustainable transportation, and diversify tourism activities in Wadi Rum.
