Uganda declares end of Ebola cases
Health authorities in Uganda announced today that there are no reported cases of Ebola infection, bringing an end to the outbreak that resulted in 20 cases and 2 deaths since last May. Efforts have been directed towards developing vaccines and treatments for the Bundibugyo strain, with clinical trials currently underway on experimental vaccines and two new treatments, in an effort to control the disease that has claimed more than 15,000 lives across Africa over the past fifty years.
