Sidi Bouzid Leads Olive Oil Production

The Sidi Bouzid region celebrated the launch of the 2026-2027 olive harvest season, despite a decline in production estimated at around 350,000 tons this season, down from 500,000 tons last year. Sidi Bouzid is considered one of the largest olive-producing areas in Tunisia, contributing 21% of the national production. The region is home to over 23 million olive trees spread across 307,000 hectares, along with more than 120 olive mills. Special arrangements have been made to accommodate marl deposits and provide areas for their utilization, as part of the environmental preparations for the season.
