Khalifa Al-Stambouli Theatre Festival 30th Edition

The 30th edition of the Khalifa Al-Sutanbuli Theatre Festival in Monastir has commenced under the title "Memory between Influence and Renewal," with the aim of linking Tunisian theatrical heritage to contemporary creative demands. The opening activities included visual arts workshops, exhibitions, intellectual discussions, and theatrical performances featuring seven diverse plays produced locally. In addition, performances were held in alternative venues outside traditional theaters to broaden the presence of theatre. The program also featured various training workshops to enhance theatrical skills, seminars to discuss the relationship between theatrical memory and artistic transformations, as well as interactive activities and staged readings of Khalifa Al-Sutanbuli's texts and those of his contemporaries. The goal is to keep the heritage alive, reinterpret it, and update it.
