Central Theatre Forum Kairouan Highlights

The Ministry of Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with the Center for Dramatic and Performing Arts in Kairouan and the National Theatre of Tunisia, organized the inaugural edition of the Central Theatre Forum as part of the "National Festival of Tunisian Theatre – Seasons of Creativity in the Regions," from October 23 to 26, 2026. The program included theatrical performances, training workshops, symposiums, and a variety of artistic activities featuring plays by different associations and cultural institutions. Additionally, there were events focused on street arts, puppetry, and physical expression. The activities also included a discussion on the topic "Questions of Theatre Training in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" and a historical documentary screening, all aimed at supporting cultural decentralization and promoting citizens' right to culture through the distribution of activities across multiple regional institutions.
