Libyan Sou Aly Faces Crisis Before Match

Libyan club Al-Suwaihli faces a legal crisis ahead of their match against Espérance de Tunis in the CAF Champions League, due to a dispute involving their Zambian winger Lameck Banda and his former club Lecce in Italy. An Italian arbitration body ruled that Banda must pay Lecce a fine of €256,250 for breaching his contract and failing to respond to the club’s requests to return to training, despite his contract running until 2027. Al-Suwaihli could face sanctions if it is proven that they incited or caused Banda to terminate his contractual relationship, adding a complex legal dimension to the upcoming match.
