Juventus requests Ronaldo to repay 9.8 million euros

Juventus is demanding the annulment of a court ruling concerning an amount of 9.8 million euros owed to Cristiano Ronaldo during the COVID-19 pandemic, after an arbitration tribunal ordered the club to pay it. The club has appealed the decision before the Italian Court of Cassation, aiming to overturn the ruling which confirmed Ronaldo's right to receive the amount, which the club had previously paid and submitted for settlement. The case relates to salary contracts during the pandemic and is part of broader legal disputes facing Juventus, including administrative sanctions and accounting issues linked to transfer files and financial performance in 2020 and 2021. Proceedings are still ongoing in Italian courts to confirm the final results.
