National Climate and Food Security Symposium

Tunisia is preparing to host a national seminar in Carthage on October 21 and 22, 2026, with the participation of experts and officials from national and international institutions to discuss the impact of climate change on food security. The seminar aims to present research findings and practical solutions to enhance the capacity of large-scale agriculture to adapt to climate variations, especially rainfall fluctuations and water scarcity, and to enable the agricultural sector to face upcoming challenges. Discussions will focus on developing more drought- and heat-resistant crop varieties, improving water resource management, and strengthening collaboration between research and farming institutions to support sustainable national food security until 2050.
