Tunisia Ready to Facilitate Libya Talks
Tunisia has confirmed its readiness to support the United Nations' efforts to reach a comprehensive political settlement in Libya that preserves its sovereignty and national unity, through initiatives and consultations that ensure the participation of all Libyan parties and are based on the principle of neutrality. Tunisian Foreign Minister, Mohamed Ali Nweihed, during his meeting with UN Representative Hannah Teteh, affirmed Tunisia’s support for the negotiation process and the unification of visions among neighboring countries (Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt) to promote security and stability in Libya and the region. Tunisia also continues to coordinate and consult with regional and international parties to follow up on the UN roadmap for peace in Libya.
