Tunisia Telegraph: Bouslafa House Opposes 'Black Flies' Project

Residents of Bouzlefla House protested against a project to breed the black soldier fly near the local hospital, raising questions about its environmental and health suitability. The project aims to valorize organic waste and convert it into valuable products, but concerns have been voiced regarding the quantity of materials entering the facility, odors, waste transportation, and its impact on water and soil. What is needed is the disclosure of studies and official permits to ensure that the site and operational choices comply with environmental and health standards, especially given its proximity to the hospital and residential areas.
