Al-Hawariya station upgrade progress

The work on renovating and upgrading the wind power station in the Sidi Daoud and Bourgh El Salahi regions of Nabeul Governorate is ongoing, carried out by the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company (STEG). The project's estimated cost is around 102 million Tunisian dinars and is scheduled to last approximately 20 months. Its goal is to increase the power capacity from about 10.5 megawatts to between 29 and 33 megawatts, with completion expected in 2027. The works include the removal of 32 old wind turbines and their replacement with 7 modern, more efficient turbines, as well as the upgrading of transmission facilities and equipment. This initiative aims to better utilize natural resources and improve socio-economic conditions in the area, particularly in terms of employment and infrastructure development.
