Pesticide spraying begins at Sejoumi salt flats tomorrow

The Governor of Tunis announced that insecticides will be sprayed via airplane over the margins of Sebkha Sijoumi, in the municipalities of Tunis and Sidi Hussein, from September 24 to October 6, 2026, as part of the rural insect control program. The governor called on beekeepers to take the necessary precautions to protect their hives during the spraying operations and for 24 hours afterward, in order to ensure the safety of the bees and preserve their environment.
