Transport Ministry plans bus and train procurement

The Ministry of Transport announced its intention to acquire 727 new buses before the end of 2026 to enhance the transportation network across various regions of the country. Additionally, they will begin purchasing train carriages for the Wadi-Marsa loop starting from late 2027. Preparations for the back-to-school and university season have also seen improvement, with the number of subscribers increasing by 4%. The number of school and university routes has risen from 2,134 to approximately 2,179, out of a total of 3,171 to 3,234 routes.
