Tunisia's 42 athletes at Dakar Youth Olympics

Daraktar in Senegal is preparing to host the fourth edition of the Youth Olympic Games from October 31 to November 13, 2026, with the participation of approximately 2,700 athletes from various countries, including 42 Tunisian athletes representing 16 sports disciplines. The Tunisian delegation aims to strengthen the experience of young talents and reaffirm Tunisia's presence in international Olympic events through participation in athletics, taekwondo, swimming, shooting, cycling, fencing, gymnastics, boxing, judo, wushu, table tennis, as well as team sports such as beach handball and beach volleyball, in addition to rowing, sailing, and triathlon. The Senegalese capital will host the Olympic torch reception ceremony on September 12, marking the start of the torch relay across different regions of Senegal before the opening ceremony. Tunisia’s participation seeks to enable a new generation of athletes to gain international experience and move closer to podium finishes.
