Al-Fahs wind project to use Japanese grant

The Japanese Embassy in Tunisia announced the selection of a wind energy project in Zoghouan Governorate with a capacity of 75 MW, aimed at benefiting from a Japanese grant through a carbon credit exchange mechanism under the Paris Climate Agreement. The project is expected to be implemented by a joint Japanese-Norwegian company consisting of Eurus Energy Holdings and Scatec. It is projected to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 88,367 tons of CO₂ equivalent annually. This initiative is part of Tunisia's efforts to enhance its renewable energy capacity and reduce emissions, through solar and wind energy projects that support the energy transition and create job opportunities during construction and maintenance.
