Strategic Review of Tunisia's Sugar Industry

Tunisia has launched a comprehensive strategic study to restructure the sugar system, ensuring supply sustainability and securing the strategic stock, in light of challenges arising from rising prices of basic materials and international supply costs. Fieldwork activities began on September 1st, involving the Ministries of Trade, Industry, and Energy, as well as experts from the Tunisian Competitiveness Institute. The work methodology was defined, and governance rules were established to enhance project oversight and implementation follow-up. The study aims to develop practical proposals to promote stability within Tunisia's sugar system and reduce the impact of global fluctuations on the national sector.
