France protests over government measures

The article discusses the protests by high school students in France, which have involved violence and the closure of hundreds of schools due to their demands for improved educational conditions. The demonstrations called for easing the pressure of academic schedules, addressing the teacher shortage, reducing student density in classrooms, improving infrastructure, and ensuring fairness in the distribution of educational resources. The government responded by launching five initiatives, including enhancing transparency in university guidance, replacing absent teachers, and improving the conditions of educational institutions, along with announcements of a 1.2 billion euro increase in the education budget for 2027. Additionally, the government decided to halt the use of sound grenades by police after an incident where a boy lost his hand, and an investigation into the matter has been opened. The protests continue unabated, with strikes and school closures ongoing, while the government is listening to students' demands and working on providing immediate solutions.
