OpenAI experiments with ads in ChatGPT visuals

OpenAI plans to expand advertising within ChatGPT by testing a new format of visual ads that will appear during the use of the image creation feature. The trial will start in the United States later in October. The ads will be clearly separated from user content, featuring visual elements that highlight the advertised products or services, aiming to enhance users' perception of their relevance to their needs. The ads will remain hidden from ChatGPT Plus and Pro subscribers. Currently, the experiment is being conducted with a limited group of advertisers, with plans to develop additional advertising formats in the future.
