Samsung Exynos 2700 in production Amid S27 Ultra Uncertainty

Samsung is planning to produce its new Exynos 2700 processor at a rate exceeding 10% above the target for the Exynos 2600 processor, in preparation for use in the Galaxy S27 series, which includes the Galaxy S27, S27+, and S27 Pro. These phones are expected to rely on the Exynos 2700 in Korea and Europe, while the United States and China will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor. As for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, Samsung is still reviewing processor options. The Samsung System LSI division trusts the capabilities of the Exynos 2700, while the Samsung MX division is evaluating thermal performance, power consumption, cost, and production capacity to make a final decision. This decision might include adopting the processor for the Ultra model, even though large-scale production of the processor is expected to take 3-4 months, aligning with the anticipated release date in February or March.
